Cops Chase Tortoise
Earlier this week Alhambra Police were called when a 150lb Tortoise was on the loose in the streets of Alhambra. The chase of the tortoise reached speeds of up to 1 mph according to police officials who couldn’t stop laughing at the whole ordeal. It took two officers to carry the tortoise off of the streets of East Los Angeles. The pursuit of the Tortoise was reported on the Alhambra Police Department’s Facebook page and residents began commenting on it all day. The comments ranged from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Jokes to jokes about a dangerous high speed pursuit. The man that manages the facebook account shut down those comments by saying that the Tortoise did not respond to the names of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After the police picked up the tortoise, they took him to the nearest animal shelter in order to identify the owners of this huge animal.
