This city is located near the center of Los Angeles County and about 8 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. According to the 2010 Census, the city of Alhambra has a population of about 80,000 residents with the majority of the population are Asian. Alhambra is mostly known for being the home of the popular food chain The Hat. The city offers many exciting thing for people to do on a daily basis. Its close proximity to Downtown Los Angeles and the beach make this a very popular place for families to reside in. There are also many bars and lounges for people to go to and have a good time while they are in the city. However, the police force makes sure that their presence is known throughout the city, which is why they constantly patrol the streets of Alhambra to protect its residents. The city of Alhambra has a zero tolerance policy for any lawbreakers in the city limits. They also are very strict against driving under the influence which is why they set up random DUI checkpoints throughout different parts of the city.
